I helmed this video series from 2010-2019 for Vineyard Columbus, the largest church in central Ohio. I was completely caught up in Lucy’s story of finding hope in the midst of pain.

Provided ongoing creative direction and video production services for the internal communications team.
In 2018, provided continuity for the incoming Director of Communications, serving as the lead video producer while assisting in the on-boarding and building of team culture for an entirely new communications staff.
Responsible for vetting new talent. Oversaw transition to 4k video production equipment and refit of studio. Successfully transitioned most ongoing, weekly video production projects to volunteers and vendors.

As a member of the eight person internal communications team for the largest church in central Ohio, produced and directed hundreds videos for weekend services, websites, conferences, and other events.
Led selection and deployment of SAN and Asset Management system used by four departments. Designed and tested workflows and processes for coordinating multiple editors and the move from Final Cut Studio 3 to Adobe Creative Cloud. Designed and outfitted video production studio. Recruited and led team of thirty volunteer cast and crew.

Created fundraising video and social media strategy for emergency food relief in response to school closures due to COVID-19. Raised over $30,000 in cash and in-kind donations in seven days, and a total of $120,000 over six weeks to provide emergency food relief for families in need due to COVID-19.

Wrote and directed capital campaign vision videos that played a key role in raising $13,000,000 in pledges.

Marketing is all about telling a story that connects your customers to your brand. Sounds a lot like video production. It’s a match made in heaven.
My time with Vineyard Columbus was spent with their communications team, responsible for all internal and external marketing and communications. It functioned as a highly collaborative, in-house marketing agency. Every campaign was a team effort, from the marketing calendar to social media management to proofreading. We put on huge 5,000 person volunteer events, multiple weekend services, a huge website, a monthly magazine, weekly promotions, and everything you’d expect from a full service marketing agency.
The video production world is mostly built from freelance teams that form for a project and then break up. My fifteen years of experience as a video director and producer has included building all kinds of teams to get projects done. I’ve formed some great relationships with camera operators, sound mixers, editors, and clients who I’ve worked with for years.
